Each new calendar is another opportunity...The fads of New Year's, the rush around a Valentine's date, the first morning walk as flowers bloom. Firecrackers, streamers and hot dogs on the grill to celebrate independence. Pumpkin, maple, or cinnamon flavors and smells abound. Debating proper etiquette for handing out sweets to young ones on Halloween; a sugar rush followed up by bellies full of food and gratitude at Thanksgiving. The year ends in the jolliest celebrations of Christmas and Hanukkah–when shared warmth outshines the cold.
